With sponsorship from Pharmactive, Muratpaşa Municipality Culture and Social Affairs Department will present the "Magic of Hands" exhibition, featuring world-acclaimed painters Picasso, Dalí, Rodin, Fikret Otyam, Abidin Dino, Günter Grass and many others at the Değirmenönü Culture and Art Center between April 30 and May 28.
DAn exclusive selection from world-renowned hand surgeon Prof. Dr. Hans-Gerhard Zilch’s private collection that includes works by countless great artists with the likes of Auguste Rodin, Pablo Picasso, Eugène Delacroix, Man Ray, Salvador Dalí, Le Corbusier, Joseph Beuys, and Georg Baselitz will be displayed at the Muratpaşa Municipality Değirmenönü Culture and Art Center under coordination of Meryem Schultz and curatorship of İbrahim Karaoğlu. Zilch began collecting hand-related works for the first time while lecturing at the University of Berlin. He then went on to collect pieces by Picasso, and other original pieces. The collection, a work spanning 30 years, is exhibited under the same name in every country where it is displayed.
‘Ellerin Büyüsü’ adlı sergi, 30 Nisan Perşembe günü saat 18:00’de Değirmenönü Kültür ve Sanat Merkezi’nde ziyarete açılacak. 70 eserin yer alacağı sergide, Abidin Dino ve Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu'nun (kendi el ve ayak izleri) resimleri, Antalya'da yaşayan büyük sanat ustası Fikret Otyam'ın 30 yıl önce ıssız bir Anadolu köyünde çektiği çok özel bir fotoğrafı da yer alacak. Büyüleyen eller arasında, 13 Nisan’da kaybettiğimiz Nobel ödüllü edebiyatçı Günter Grass ve Amerikan sinemasının önemli yönetmenlerinden David Lynch’in çalışmaları da var.
“"Magic of Hands" exhibition opens for visitors at the Değirmenönü Culture and Art Center on Thursday, April 30 at 18:00. With 70 works of art on display, the exhibition will also feature paintings by Abidin Dino and Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu (his own hand and foot prints), and a very special photo taken by Fikret Otyam in a desolate Anatolian village 30 years ago. Magic hands include works by Nobel laureate Günter Grass, who passed away on April 13, and prominent American film director David Lynch.

Set to open in Antalya with sponsorship from Pharmactive, the exhibition will be on display in Istanbul in June, and move to Hamburg in July. Exhibit locations also include Izmir Folkart Gallery, Ankara Çankaya Municipality Modern Art Gallery, Mönchaus Museum, Goslarer Museum, and Hameln Museum.
