Conflicts that topped the world’s agenda in 2015 did not ease the following year. Through their lenses, news photographers continued telling the world about important stories and critical developments such as terror attacks and wars.
A jury of international experts gathered in March in Cappadocia to deliver their verdicts on the winners of Anadolu Agency’s Istanbul Photo Awards 2017.
Istanbul Photo Awards 2017 received more than 25,000 photos from photographers around the world. After the early eliminations, the jury picked the strongest photo based on content, aesthetics and technical aspect in the final round.
